NNPC Recruitment 2019: Aptitude Test Fixed foršŸ“† June 1

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has fixed Saturday, June 1, 2019 as the date for the aptitude test that shortlisted candidates must undergo, being part of the recruitment process.

In a series of tweets via its verified Twitter handle @NNPC group on Thursday, the Corporation said the recruitment exercise, which kicked off via nationwide adverts in the national dailies and online media on March 13, 2019, and followed by the shortlisting of qualified candidates which commenced from about 27 March, 2019, has entered a third phase.

Supreme Court Nullifies APC Candidatesā€™ Elections, Declares PDP Winner of Zamfara Polls

Ade Adesomoju, Abuja The Supreme Court on Friday nullified the elections of all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State in the 2019 general elections.

Delivering a unanimous judgment of the five-man panel led by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, the apex court declared the first runners-up in the 2019 general elections in the state as the winners of all the posts earlier declared to have been won by the APC and its candidates.

Justice Paul Galinje, who read the lead judgment upheld the decision of the Sokoto Division of the Court of Appeal to the effect that the APC did not conduct any valid primary election and as such had no candidate for any of the elections in the state.

FA Cup: Gunmen Storm Hotel Viewing Centre, Open Fire On Football Fans In Jos

ā€œThe victim recently sat for the 2019 UTME and had hoped to gain admission into the university before he was killed by the gunmen.ā€

At least one person has been confirmed killed and several others injured after an attack by gunmen at a hotel in Jos, Plateau State.

The tragic incident happened on Saturday evening when football fans were watching the FA Cup match between Man City and Watford at the Garden Palace Hotel and Bar in Busa Buji suburb of Jos.

According to eyewitnesses the gunmen, suspected to be cultists, stormed the Garden Palace Hotel and Bar in Busa Buji suburb of Jos around 7pm on Saturday and opened fire on the football fans.

Islamisation: Fani-Kayode Attacks Lamido as Ex-Gov Slams Obasanjo

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has knocked a former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, for criticising former President Olusegun Obasanjo on his belief that Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram are out to ‘Fulanise’ West Africa and Islamise Africa, respectively.

Obasanjo had, on Saturday, lamented the deadly activities of Boko Haram and herdsmen in the country, saying the challenges had grown beyond what Nigeria alone could tackle, following the groups’ collaboration with the Islamic State West African Province fighters.

Tinubu 2023 Agenda: Ohanaeze Speaks on Tinubuā€™s Move to Succeed Buhari

The apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has reacted to reports claiming that National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu will run for the office of the president in 2023.

Ohanaezeā€™s Deputy Spokesperson, Chuks Ibegbu, in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST, said Tinubu should not run for presidency on the basis of morality.

Just last week, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode had commended the APC National Leader for ā€œaspiringā€ to be president in 2023.

River state killing: Armed Men Storm Rivers Community, Kill 15

At least, 15 persons have been killed and some beheaded by suspected cultists in Kono Bo-ue community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State in a fresh cult clash in the area.

Rampaging armed cultists invaded the community, raiding the home of rival cult members, killing at random.

A source in the community, who confirmed the killing, said the community have been witnessing cult related attacks as result of supremacy battle among rival gangs.

The source, who is a youth leader in the community identified as, Ana Hyacinth, said the incident has forced inhabitants to desert the community.

A vulnerability in WhatsApp allows attackers to inject spyware on the victim’s phones. This vulnerability has already been used by an Israeli intelligence company to inject spyware on to phones.

The vulnerability exists on both iPhones and Android phones.

WhatsApp claims to have a patch ready, Duta recommends that all users install them as soon as they are available.

Salah, Mane & Aubameyang Share PL Golden Boot

Mohamed Salah will not consider the Golden Boot to be consolation for missing out on the Premier League title, especially as he must share the 2018-19 award with Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenalā€™s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after seeing them join him on 22 goals.

Salah has now claimed that prize in successive years, despite drawing a blank on his most recent outing.

Sadio Mane was on target for Jurgen Kloppā€™s side at Anfield, though, and ended the day with a double in a contest which counted for little in the grand scheme of things.
